The BSNL Management Committee discusses the report of the committee appointed to study the issues on Time Bound Policy etc. However one more sitting of the Management Committee is required to approve the minutes. The same will have to be placed before the BSNL Director Board for study and approval. The whole process is expected to take at least two to three weeks. |

Association leaders led by Com.G.L.Jogi GS SNEA(I) meet CMD, Director (HRD), Director (Finance), Director (Planning), Director (Marketing) etc. and held discussions on our demands. The Senior officers were positive in their responses. However the exact results will be available only after final decisions at the BSNL Management Committee on 28th April 2005 and BSNL Board on 29th April 2005. |

The report submitted by the committee appointed for going into the demands raised by us will be examined by the BSNL Management Committee Meeting to be held on 28th April 2005. This will again be placed for approval by the BSNL Board in its meeting slated for 29th April 2005. |

Circle Conference of Madhya Pradesh Circle held on 22nd & 23rd April 2005 at Sagar. The conference which was attended by GS Com.G.L.Jogi, AGS Com. Sukhvir Singh, Jt.Secretary (Central) Com.R.A.Gupta was conspicuous by enthusiastic and enterprising deliberations and largely attended Open Session on "Role of BSNL Executives in upliftment of Telecom Services in India". Dr.D.P.Singh, Vice Chancellor of Dr.Harisingh Gaur University was the Chief Guest of the Open Session. Com.Rakesh Tiwari President, Com.S.Dutta Majumdar Circle Secretary, Com.P.K.Jha Circle Treasurer were elected unanimously as office bearers for the next term. |
| Association holds a series of discussions (during this week) with Director (HRD), Sr.DDG (Estt), DDG (SR) and DDG (E F) on the various issues yet to be finalised as demanded by us. Lot of progress has been achieved. Still there are some confusion/stubbornness on the part of the Management regarding functional promotion up on time bound promotion. The Committee appointed for the purpose is finalising its report based on the inputs given by us as well as the compromise formula worked out earlier and is expected to submit its report on 22nd April 2005. This report is expected to be approved by the BSNL Board in its meeting on 27th April 2005. |
| In the meanwhile Association is following up the issues on a parallel track. Discussions have been already held with Shri. Nilolpal Basu, Hon. MP from West Bengal and Shri. Kuppuswamy Hon. M.P. from Tamilnadu ( Letter addressed by the Association to Shri. Kuppuswamy, Hon. M.P. >>>>>>).The M.P.s have taken up/ are taking up the issues with the Hon.MOC very positively. |

GS meets the CMD on 18th April 2005 and protests very strongly about outsourcing of land line bills at a huge cost to BSNL exchequer. CMD promises appropriate action. Association addresses CMD on outsourcing of landline bills demanding withholding opening of the proposed tender scheduled on 26th April 2005 and cancellation of the same , warning dire consequences including agitation al programmes on this account.
