28th  Mar 2005 As already reported by us, unambiguous clarification on instructional allowance in training centres(15% of IDA pay scale)   issued by BSNL Corporate office. The case was strongly taken and pursued by SNEA. Order dated 28-3-05>>>

24th  Mar 2005As stated by the Hon.MOC & IT during our discussions on 23-03-2005 morning, options has been called for the absorption of Grp 'A' officers in BSNL / MTNL with definite time frame.

(1) Order No.A-11013/1/2005-Admn.II (ITS/TTS/TFS) dated 24th March 2005. Absorption of Group ‘A’ officers of Indian Telecom Service (ITS) /Telegraph Traffic Service (TTS)/Telecom Factories Service (TFS) in MTNL/BSNL.>>>>>

(2) Order No.A-11013/1/2005-Admn.II (P&T AFS) dated 24^th March 2005. Absorption of Group ‘A’ officers of Indian Telecommunication Accounts and Finance (P&T, A&FS) in MTNL/BSNL>>>>>>>

(3) Order No.A-11013/1/2005-Admn.II (P&T BWS) dated 24th March 2005. Absorption of Group ‘A’ officers of P&T Building Works (Group `A’) Services in MTNL/BSNL.>>>>>>

Hon. MOC appeals to the United Forum for BSNL executives to withdraw the agitation offering concrete assurances that the BSNL Management will be instructed to settle all our grievances within a specified timeframe. The MOC also commits his personal monitoring of the settlement process. The United Forum responds positively to the categoric intervention of the Hon.MOC and offers to DEFER the agitational programmes.
Minutes after the truce worked out by the Hon MOC the BSNL board invites our leaders for discussions and promises that the contentious issues will be sorted out within three weeks. The Board also requested our inputs to solve all the outstanding problems.
Comrades, your commitment and valour has put us in a strategic position for settling our grievances which were wantonly left unattended by hostile Management. Keep up your spirits. Don't relax until the final victory. Ignore the absolute falsehoods spread by  defeated and deflated vested interests.. untruth is the only weapon that they have with them.    LETTER TO HON.MOC>>>

React sharply and strongly to the repressive and oppressive tactics of the BSNL Management. Third degree methods employed by it has to be met squarely and defeated. Remember your self-esteem and prestige of the Association is being questioned. Our status is being attempted to be diminished to that of bonded labourers. We cannot allow that. Each one of you has to spring up with courage and determination to defeat the sinister designs of the Management. We have our prestige to be won- our future to be won.

16th  Mar 2005At the end of second day of Hunger strike and non cooperation tremendous impact reported from various parts of the Nation. All Comrades may mount further pressure on the non relenting BSNL Management by carrying out the Work According to Rule in its proper sense and spirit. On the third day we expect 100% contribution from all comrades in all parts of the country. Any let-up will have a damaging effect on your career.

14th  Mar 2005Penal Interest for delay in submission of Accounts.- Clarification issued. The brutal penal interest of 3650% imposed by BSNL Management slashed to 2% per month on intervention by SNEA(I). Condition for implementation also relaxed further as demanded by the Association. - Interest rate reduced from 10% per day to 2% per month with relaxing powers to Temporary Advance sanctioning authority for 10 days and up to 30 days relaxing powers to CGMs. Order No.7-10/2004-EF dated 14-03-2005>>>>>>>

10th  Mar 2005Executives all over the country expressed extreme protest against the injustice meted out to them on promotion policy and allied matters by BSNL Management. Protest demonstration expressing their sentiments held with great participation on 10 ^th March 2005.

10th  Mar 2005The letter circulated by the BSNL Management to CGMTs is nothing but a canard to distract our members from our single minded agitation programme. Comrades don't get trapped in the false propaganda circulated by the Management with obvious ulterior motives. The petition filed by the Management and the response given by the Association in the Delhi High Court relate only to the Dharna/ Rallies in two buildings Statesman House and Kidwai Bhavan. It has absolutely no relevance outside these two buildings in New Delhi. There is absolutely no commitment from our part in the Delhi High Court regarding Dharna, protest rallies etc. in other parts of the country as is being attempted to be propagated by BSNL Management. Moreover the Delhi HC has  jurisdiction only in Delhi. Go ahead !! Ignore all false propaganda with contempt. Make the agitation programmes a total success and win a bright future for you and your comrades.

3rd  Mar 200534000 Executives across the country take leave and participate in the one day Dharna on 3^rd March 2005.The performance of the agitating Comrades all through out the country was beyond compare and simply superb. Comrades keep up the tempo, continue in the same vigour and demonstrate our strength and character to the sleepy Management. Congratulations!

2nd  Mar 2005Comrades remember 3^rd March 2005. Our agitation is in its second phase. Commit yourself  totally, involve yourself fully and make the entire programme a grand success. Participate in large numbers in full day Dharna on 3^rd March 2005.

2nd  Mar 2005The delegation of BSNL Employees (Executives & Non Executives) meets Hon. Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh submits memorandum. (>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>)and discusses with him for over 20 minutes. The PM was extremely cordial , receptive and sharp in understanding the issues highlighted by us. The PM promised that issues on ADC, Universal Service Obligation, unbundling of Copper cables, merger of BSNL & MTNL,  level playing field etc. would be given due attention and follow up. He appreciated our views on these subjects and promised appropriate action. Erring agencies would be identified and pulled up. In the case of FDI he however regretted that reversal is not possible at this stage. The outsourcing of technical nature probably a decision taken by the BSNL Board was not required in view of the talented and qualified Engineers at the BSNLs' command, he opined. He urged us to take up the matter further with the Board as this is not Government subject. The delegation is hopeful of suitable actions.

28th  Feb 2005The appeal filed by the BSNL Management for restraining our members from holding demonstrations etc. has been dismissed by the Divisional Bench of Delhi High Court. The Divisional Bench has also imposed a fine of Rs.5000/- on the BSNL Management to be paid to the Tsunami fund. If the Management has any grievance in the matter they have been directed to refer back to the Single Bench.
